Hilliary Turnipseed
Hilliary Turnipseed is Head of Talent at Kapor Capital, where she partners with portfolio founders, executive teams, and the investment team to build inclusive, high-performing organizations. She leads all talent strategy across the firm—from advising on organizational design and executive hiring to managing the Kapor Capital job board, talent network, and internal recruitment efforts.
With over 15 years of experience in executive recruiting, talent leadership, and people operations, Hilliary has a proven track record of placing senior-level talent and scaling leadership pipelines across early-stage startups. She brings a deep understanding of the startup landscape and a passion for creating equitable systems that support diverse teams and mission-driven founders.
Hilliary received her B.A. from American University in Washington, DC. After graduating, Hilliary began her career in talent acquisition by working for retained executive search firm, DHR International. From there, Hilliary supported in-house recruitment and people operations efforts for notable organizations such as Discovery Communications, Black Girls CODE, POLITICO, and Blackboard.
Outside of work, Hilliary is a dedicated dog mom to her rescue pup, Bo. Hilliary also enjoys traveling, cooking, and attending sports events.
